About The Haven
The Haven’s unique blend of traditional club privileges and contemporary lifestyle preferences is a direct reflection of the Club’s history. Founded in the 1950’s as the Mount Pleasant Country Club, the Club had the wisdom and foresight to obtain an exceptional site for an 18-hole golf course and to engage one of the game’s pre-eminent architects, William Mitchell, to create a course that is as rewarding to play as it is beautiful to look at.
In 2011, the Club began the transition from being member-owned to being owned and operated by a professional management team. Under the leadership of owner Regan Remillard (a club member since 2004), the Club has embarked on a multi-year program of renewal and enhancement of the clubhouse, golf course, and grounds, as well as the levels of service and hospitality that members can expect. The new name honors members’ shared perception of the Club’s unique character while also better distinguishing the Club from two others in the area whose similar names have sometimes led to confusion.
One aspect that remains intact is the traditional sense of a Club that is defined by the values of its members. The Club remains dedicated to preserving the special qualities that its members bring, both as sports enthusiasts and as individuals, while making The Haven one of the premier country clubs in Central Massachusetts.
